The latest features, improvements and fixes we’ve shipped to StreamScheduler.

September 2026

  • Multilingual orders of service — write translations alongside the original and readers can choose their language and follow along on any device.
  • Paired paragraphs can move together as one step, so nobody needs an extra tap for the second language.
  • A reader’s language choice is remembered for next time.
Improved
  • After-the-event visibility for every service — the setting that unlists or hides a service a set number of days after it ends now covers in-person services and other platforms too, not just YouTube livestreams. If your organisation already has a delay set, future services will follow it; services that had already ended are left as they are. You can still override it or exempt a single service.

August 2026

  • Choose which occurrences to generate — pick exactly which upcoming dates to create from a template, with existing ones marked so you avoid duplicates.
  • YouTube connection alerts — get an email and in-app warning before your YouTube connection expires, with time to reconnect before it affects a service.
  • Find events with no order of service — a new filter shows events without their own written or imported order of service.
Improved
  • Connecting an AI assistant now uses a secure sign-in flow you can revoke at any time.
  • Assistants can now rename events, edit a specific passage of the order of service, and check StreamScheduler’s own record of whether an event is linked to a stream.
  • In-person events now finish exactly on time instead of lingering as “live” after the service ends.
  • The order of service and video load more smoothly for guests.
  • Viewers on older iPads (iPadOS 15) can now use the order of service and video pages.
Fixed
  • Reconnecting YouTube with the wrong Google account is now blocked instead of quietly switching your channel.
  • An organisation’s web address can no longer be changed once it has been set, so shared links and QR codes stay valid.

July 2026

  • Connect an AI assistant — link an assistant that can read and edit your order of service.
  • Live chat presets — send ready-made messages to your live broadcast with one tap.
  • Install to your home screen — a guided install page with instructions for your browser, including Safari on iPhone and iPad.
  • Numbered jump markers — operators can jump straight to any point in the order of service.
Improved
  • Events now end automatically when YouTube reports the stream has finished, instead of staying “live”.
  • The order-of-service editor stays fast on long documents, with instant image previews.
  • Recurrence rules can now include comments, so you can document why a schedule is written the way it is.
  • Replacing a thumbnail on a template now updates everywhere immediately.
Fixed
  • Fixed a security issue in the way order-of-service content is rendered to guests.
  • Events that have ended no longer show up as current on organisation pages, kiosk screens or short links.
  • Rapid operator navigation no longer arrives out of order, and the jump-to-presenter arrow now appears correctly.
  • The video no longer flashes an empty frame before playback begins.

June 2026

  • Watch and follow in one place — the order of service and live video now sit on one page, available to everyone.
  • The order of service keeps step with the stream — text now reveals in time with the video, with a delay each organisation can calibrate.
  • Auto-publish to YouTube — turn it on for a template and, once YouTube is connected, livestreamed events publish automatically, with no manual step.
  • More capable kiosk screens — idle screens show a QR code to the order of service and hide the countdown once an event ends.
  • Lifecycle times on the event page — see when an event published, went live and ended, in your own timezone.
  • Online and text-only viewer counts — the live viewer badge now splits video viewers from text-only readers.
  • A more readable typeface — viewers and kiosk screens now use Atkinson Hyperlegible for easier reading.
  • Admin QR codes — scan a code from the event page to open the operator view on your phone.
Improved
  • The events list is easier to work through, with Current, Past and All tabs and remembered settings.
  • The mobile viewer is tidier, with an instant show/hide video toggle.
  • Turning on demo mode brings guests already on the page into sync immediately.
  • The Install button now appears as soon as your browser supports it, not after several visits.
Fixed
  • Publishing an event no longer disconnects it from a stream it was already bound to.
  • A single unreadable image in a PDF no longer stops the rest from being extracted.
  • Viewers now recover their place correctly after a dropped connection, and duplicate navigation entries are fixed.
  • Fixed the jump-to-presenter arrow pointing the wrong way, and browser-chrome flicker during automatic scrolling on mobile.

May 2026

  • On-screen viewer — broadcast the order of service to a TV, projector or vision mixer, with a layout designed for keying.
  • Operator-only notes — add team-only notes to the order of service that guests never see.
  • Pick images from a PDF — extract images from an uploaded PDF and choose exactly which ones to use.
  • Organisation visibility — make your organisation’s home page public, unlisted, or private.
  • Import an order of service from a web address — point an event or template at a URL and the content is fetched for you.
  • Date and time formatting per organisation — dates and times in the calendar and admin tables now follow your own locale convention.
Improved
  • The watch page loads faster, with a tap-to-play preview instead of autoplay video.
  • The YouTube player now starts by itself when an event goes live.
  • Past in-person events now complete automatically instead of lingering as drafts.
  • Links to external orders of service now open directly instead of inside a frame.
Fixed
  • The calendar feed no longer lists unlisted or private events.
  • Music notation extracted from PDFs now renders correctly in dark mode, and wide music images are no longer dropped.
  • Going live no longer sends viewers to a stale position from an operator’s earlier session.
  • Kiosk slides no longer drop paragraphs that were grouped together in the order of service.
  • The operator step indicator no longer drifts, and stepping through the order of service responds immediately.

April 2026

  • Editable lower thirds — edit, reorder, add, and remove lower third entries directly on the event form with drag-and-drop support.
  • Search in Order of Service — jump to any heading in your Order of Service using a quick fuzzy search, plus a one-tap reset to return to the top.
Fixed
  • Viewers who open the watch page before an event goes live no longer need to refresh — the LIVE badge, jump-to-presenter button, and auto-follow toggle now activate automatically when the event starts.
  • Order of Service content no longer overflows the screen on mobile when it contains long URLs.
  • PDF conversion no longer causes the markdown editor to appear empty — your content is preserved throughout the process.
  • The Next Event widget now displays times in your organisation’s timezone.

March 2026

  • Replace a YouTube broadcast — if something goes wrong with a live broadcast, you can now replace it in-place without losing the event record, links, or QR codes. The old broadcast is automatically archived.
Improved
  • Event scheduling now uses 15-minute time intervals for a faster, cleaner experience.
  • The events table is more responsive — less-used columns are hidden by default, and all copyable URLs now show clipboard icons.
Fixed
  • Stream key lookup now works correctly on YouTube accounts with a large number of streams.
  • PDF conversion is more reliable when using third-party AI providers.
  • The YouTube reconnect button now works correctly across the entire application.
  • Google Calendar subscriptions now display all events reliably.

February 2026

  • Post-event privacy automation — automatically change YouTube privacy settings after an event ends. Configure at the organisation, template, or individual event level.
  • Emergency broadcast replacement — scrap and redo a YouTube broadcast with identical content when something goes wrong before going live.
  • Optimised thumbnails — uploaded images are automatically processed into optimised WebP variants for faster page loads and better social sharing previews.
  • AI prompt defaults — set default prompts for PDF conversion and lower thirds extraction at the organisation level, with template and event overrides.
  • Real-time PDF conversion status — see conversion progress live as it happens, and convert PDFs immediately after upload without saving first.
  • Viewer analytics — track PDF downloads, page views, and watch views with counters visible in the admin panel.
Improved
  • All admin tables now stack vertically on mobile — no more horizontal scrolling.
  • Thumbnail image quality has been increased for better fidelity across devices.
Fixed
  • Thumbnails now update immediately everywhere after changes, with no stale cached images.
  • Editing an event with a new thumbnail now correctly uploads the new image to YouTube.
  • Template images are no longer broken when processing thumbnail variants.

January 2026

  • AI-powered PDF to Markdown conversion — upload a PDF service order and automatically convert it into a beautifully formatted, navigable Order of Service.
  • Combined viewer — watch a livestream alongside the Order of Service in a side-by-side split view.
  • Bulk publish to YouTube — publish multiple events at once with a single action and get notified when the batch completes.
  • Short URLs and QR codes — compact shareable links for watch pages and attachments, with printable QR code pages for your venue.
  • Real-time analytics dashboard — see live viewer engagement as your events unfold.
  • Content nudges — encourage donations, mailing list sign-ups, and feedback at the right moments. Configure once at the organisation level and override per template or event.

  • Auto-follow mode — toggle automatic navigation to follow along with the presenter in real time.
  • Paragraph-level navigation — navigate the Order of Service by individual paragraphs for more precise control.
  • Layout toggle — switch between compact list and grid views on your organisation’s home page.
  • Event visibility controls — mark events as public, unlisted, or private. Only public events appear on your home page; unlisted and private events remain accessible via direct link.

  • Viewer controls are now fully accessible for users with large system font sizes.

December 2025

  • Order of Service viewer — upload your service order and share it as a beautifully formatted, mobile-friendly page with section navigation, adjustable font sizes, and live presenter sync.
  • Dark mode — all public pages now respect your device’s dark mode preference.
  • Donation support — add donation links that appear within the Order of Service viewer.
  • Shareable admin link — share a link that gives another person live navigation control of the Order of Service.
  • QR code sharing — generate and share QR codes for the Order of Service directly from the viewer.
  • Live viewer count — see how many people are currently watching your event in real time.
  • Follow-along mode — a floating button lets viewers jump to where the presenter currently is in the service, so everyone stays in sync.
  • Installable web app — your organisation’s StreamScheduler page can be installed as an app on phones and tablets, complete with your own branding, icon, and splash screen.

  • Instant page transitions — navigating between pages is now seamless with no full-page reloads.

June – July 2025

  • Flexible stream binding — publish events to YouTube without automatic stream binding. Use a single stream key for all your events, or let StreamScheduler manage it automatically.
  • Mux streaming support — stream to Mux as an alternative to YouTube, with built-in player embedding for live and on-demand playback.
Improved
  • YouTube synchronisation is significantly faster — API calls reduced from 56 to approximately 2 per sync.
  • Auto-bind now always selects the next upcoming event chronologically.
  • YouTube event titles are now validated against the 100-character limit before publishing.
Fixed
  • YouTube reconnect flow now works reliably, with clearer error messages when issues arise.

May 2025
